In Southern California, I have represented individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service, the Franchise Tax Board, the State Board of Equalization, the Employment Development Department and the Property Tax Assessor.

In order to become a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law as certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, an attorney must undergo a process that includes an approved educational program, completion of tasks in the specialty area, a written exam and a peer review. Certification lasts for a five-year period, during which time the specialist must continue to meet education, task and peer review requirements.

I am also AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which reflects the confidential opinions of members of the State Bar. Martindale-Hubbell ratings fall into two categories – legal ability and general ethical standards. An attorney with an AV rating is rated at the highest level of professional excellence.

Outside of my legal accomplishments, I serve on the Board of Trustees for San Antonio Community Hospital. I have been involved with the Harold W. Harris Foundation Trust, a foundation that gave over three million dollars to Western University of Health Science for the Harris Family Center for Disability and Health Policy. I have also been deeply involved in local schools, my synagogue and other community organizations.
